Tour de France 2014Earlier this year we had an approach from the Seacroft Wheelers, Leeds. They are thinking of organising a camping weekend in July 2014 to watch the Tour as its passes through Yorkshire. There is a plan to contact one of the local farmers to open a field to cyclists and also visitors on the day. The outline is this: Somewhere near Aysgarth Falls, start camping Friday night (drink and BBQ) and ready for Saturday, leaving Buttertubs and start next day south side of Huddersfield. It is probable that facilities could be somewhat basic, and some may simply prefer to drive/ride out to spectate. For sure, most of the more upmarket accommodation will be taken very early, if not already. However, if anyone is interested please can they get in touch with me, Richard Cary, and I can get back in touch with the Seacroft with a Yay or a Nay Thanks.
