SCC Members on parade with the Duke of Lancaster Regiment

On Tuesday 3rd December, four Southport members accompanied Derek Unsworth to Huyton to watch the Duke of Lancaster regiment parade through Huyton. The regiment were returning from a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
The Lieutenant Colonel of the regiment is Derek's son Neil and we were privileged to have our photograph taken with him before the parade began.

Interviewed on Radio Merseyside and asked where we had come from we worked out that pointing at our jerseys did not work on the radio!
After the parade a Costa Coffee and then a ride back around the lanes near Rainford completed a good morning out.
