Boxing Day 10M? Time Trial 26 -12-2011A fine day if a little on the breezy side saw a field of 14 riders take the start. This was after a bit of socialising in the Club house comparing notes on presents and exploits in consumption on the previous day. A willing team of helpers decided that the original ten mile course required too many marshals, so a revised (shorter) course was substituted.
A hard outward leg into the wind presented little obstacle to Steve Duffel on his fixed wheel machine, but he was still outdone by John Findley who, although on his winter bike was sporting a club skinsuit which appeared to give him an advantage over all other more seasonally attired riders. Clayton retired with a technical malfunction, having been calling on the line for an Allen key to no avail. Back to the club house after all had finished for refreshments and suitable banter. Thanks to all Timekeepers and marshals. Posted 26/12/2011Results are on the Time Trials Results page to download. More pictures are on the picture gallery Photos|Photo Galleries.
