One lap Race for the Centenary Shield - Saturday April 27th

For members of the club there will be a race over one lap of the Victoria Park circuit during the High on Bikes British Cycling North West Region Closed Circuit Race Championships.

The Championships start at 11.30.am.

Time for the race will be confirmed nearer the day

For all members the club will provide "day licences" for the race

Come on all you would be racers!

The Centenary Shield

This shield was presented to the club in 1892 by the club president, Sir George Pilkington.

To be awarded to the winner of the                    One Mile Championship
open to riders living within an eight mile radius of the town hall.

The shield was won by T H Carr and taken to Australia. It was returned to the club last year by TH Carrs family.
